Last week saw me progress both in a new specific strength program and in my kayaking experience. The week went like this:
- Saturday – nice big ride
- Sunday – nice big run
- Monday – nice sore legs and a not so nice but very helpful massage from Anna
- Tuesday – started new Swiss Ball based strength and core program specific to kayaking mechanical requirements
- Wednesday – great presentation by our resident specialists Emma Morris (Sports Dietitian) and Caroline Weinstein (Psychologist)
- Thursday – Swiss Ball strength program
- Friday – rest
- Saturday – I progressed to an Endorfinn kayak from the beginner boat I had been using (Affinity). A tough cold and challenging morning (see attached photos) on the bay which i think resulted in this cold i am now enjoying (not)
Today (Monday) is all about rest and recuperation… God bless pumpkin soup and Codral!!

- Now will my legs work so i can stand up??

Wow - they did work. Now can i walk??

Hi, I am thinking about buying a Finn kayak, just a beginner but would you suggest I bought an Endorfinn straight up and just got the hang of it? I dont want to buy the Affinity and regret it after a few months thats all.

Hi Adam
I am afraid I am very new to this so I would suggest you contact and maybe try some sessions with our coach Jarad Kohler at Peak Adventure (www.peakadventure.com.au) so you can try out both boats and see what you like. I only used the Affinity a few times before progressing to the Endorfinn.
Good luck
Paul
